Hi,
You would need to supply a lot more information for us to help you. Have you researched the scales? The Amplifiers? Basically the scales would need to provide digital quadrature signals. If you have analog drives you would need to add our Kanalog board.

Hi Tom, Thanks for the reply. yes I will be using the Kanalog Board. As far as the scales. Here is the only information that I can find. http://www.heidenhain.de/de_EN/php/documentation-information/documentation/brochures/popup/media/media/file/view/file-0299/file.pdf
Can you please look over this document and let me know if this is what I need.
Thanks for all that you do!

Hi Steve,
I believe that should work it outputs 5V digital differential quadratures. The max count rate of KFLOP/Kanalog is 1 MHz of quadrature counts. So the resolution x max speed must be less than 1MHz.

Hi Tom, Thanks for all your help! I placed my order for a Kflop & Kanalog. Can't wait to get started.
I have been looking at my heidenhain glass scales and EXE 600 Interpolation electronics. The scales are connected on the input of the EXE 600 and the only wires on the output are. Sensor +5, Sensor 0 V, A+, B+ I don't have any wires that go to A-, or B- Would I be safe to assume that these could be tied to 0 V? For reference there is a link to a pdf below.
Thanks Again,
Steve

Hi Steve,
No you can not do that. See:
But actually the link seems to show differential outputs So I don't understand. I think they have typo errors on that page. They show /Ua several places. Maybe the first two should be /Ua1 and /Ua2
